WIL BROUSSARDE – HEAD COACH

Coach Broussard is a science teacher at La Cima Middle School with 12 years coaching experience. He came to Amphi High School in 2007 to assist the junior varsity. Last year he moved to head freshman coach with a record of 6-2. Coach Broussard is a 1999 graduate of Nicholls State University. When asked what he enjoys most about coaching, he stated “I enjoy being around the kids and seeing them grow into young men and sharing the love of football.”

ADAM STEINER – LINEBACKER COACH

Coach Steiner is a graduate of Lawrence University. He has coached at Appleton West, Flowing Wells, and Amphi Middle School before coming to AHS as a teacher and a coach in 2005, for a total of 17 years experience. When asked what he enjoys about being on the Amphi Coaching Staff, he responded, “I enjoy Coach Friedli’s enthusiastic approach to coaching kids and the game. I also appreciate the family-like atmosphere within the coaching and Amphi Football in general.”

DAN HANDY – DEFENSIVE LINE COACH

Coach Handy is one of Amphi’s own…having grown up as a Panther and graduating from Amphi in 2002. He currently attends Pima College. He is majoring in Education and hopes to coach football and teach. He has been an assistant on the Freshman level since 2004. When asked why he loves working at his alma mater, he said, “The kids – I love watching kids progress into men. I love being able to show up and be at my second family and know that my players will always remember me for something…”
